Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt able to share openly about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has passed that I can now put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the production, adding that he cannot recall "a single day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a different essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to block the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A court order put a embargo on the cases to limit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of foul play, with a official listing citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the killings, public individuals offered different responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing provocative statements that were widely condemned by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the detractors recently. Speaking on his show, Rogan described the remarks as "disturbing" and remarked they showed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by remarking that an adviser should have acted when the impulse to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
