I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
