It's difficult for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the record chasers, are all that remain for a side that has achieved everything.

It needed until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to possess a record if never given the chance.

Finally, the result of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to produce her most recent brilliance.

Then best known as the teenage relative of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her country couldn't capture either of the T20 or ODI World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup came three months after her debut and seven global championships have come from 10 tries across formats.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind final game tension. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

"The possibility to go out there and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her quickest at a World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

By the time she was out the team needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the confidence to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if we do, we believe we can achieve it."

These statements will be the final thing competing nations at this championship want to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.
